Debanders

A Debander provides an effective solution for the removal of plastic straps from products. Our solutions are available in two designs to offer flexibility to clients.

There is a product that is designed for dedicated use on beverage filling lines and another that can be used for beverage filling lines but also for automotive applications.

They offer clients the benefits of utilising their resource for other activities rather than manually removing straps, they also improve safety in their facility.

Vertical Pallet Debander

The Vertical Pallet Debander automatically locates cuts and removes vertical plastic straps from pallets of cans and bottles.

The Debander has been developed over 20 years and is installed across Europe, Australia and the Americas typically installed in a beverage or snack food manufacturing facility.

The Debander offers a flexible system that can be configured to suit a wide range of pallet formats.

A key design feature of the Debander is that it ignores the sequence that the bands are placed onto the pallet when the cans or bottles are initially palletized. All bands are removed at the same time. This optimises the cycle time and the number of bands on a pallet has very little effect on the overall cycle time required.

It is also immaterial which band is under or over another band removing the need to sequentially, identify which band is uppermost before it is removed therefore speeding up the debanding process.

The latest design allows the working head of the Debander to be lowered for ease of maintenance access.

The main support legs of the Debander are configured so that they can be mounted from one side of the pallet conveyor and this makes installation simpler.

Granulator and vacuum extraction options are available for waste.

The Vertical Debander can be configured to suit each application.

Robot Debander

The Robot Debander automatically locates cuts and removes vertical plastic straps from pallets of cans and bottles and from automotive totes.

The Robot Debander has been developed to provide an alternative destrapping solution for those facilities where a vertical Debander could not be accommodated due to height restraints. The compact design of the solution brings the overall height within that of the pallet of cans or bottles.

The unique design of the cutting head enables the straps to be removed from the sides of the stack rather than the top meaning the straps are more accessible.

The Robot Debander also offers the facility to be able to remove labels meaning operators can be better utilised and straps can be recycled without contamination from labels.

The robot Debander can also be used within automotive environments for the removal of plastic straps from totes.

Robot solutions are installed in beverage facilities in the UK and Australia and within automotive facilities in the UK.
